We’re thrilled to unveil the new online home for the Burbank City Employees Association (BCEA)! Established in October of 1939 and officially incorporated in June of 1940, the BCEA has been a cornerstone of support and advocacy for the hardworking employees of our beloved city.
From its inception, the BCEA has been dedicated to a singular mission: securing Civil Service status for all permanent City employees. Over the decades, this commitment has remained steadfast, guiding our efforts as we strive to ensure fair treatment and representation for each and every member.
Representatives of the BCEA, hailing from various departments across the City, have been elected to champion the interests of our workforce. Through open dialogue and collaboration, we’ve fostered a culture of problem-solving, addressing workplace issues head-on and working towards constructive resolutions.
Today, the BCEA stands as the largest of five bargaining unions within the City, proudly representing over 750 employees on a daily basis. Our reach extends across all clerical, trades, and general employee classifications, encompassing more than 125 diverse roles essential to the functioning of our community.
As the sole organization entrusted with negotiating on behalf of our members, we take our role seriously. From advocating for fair wages to securing essential fringe benefits, we stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our members, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are protected.
This new website serves as a testament to our ongoing commitment to transparency, accessibility, and engagement. Here, you’ll find valuable resources, updates on negotiations, and a platform to connect with fellow members and representatives.
We invite you to explore our digital home, and to join us as we continue our journey of service and advocacy for the dedicated employees of Burbank. Together, we’ll build a stronger, more inclusive workplace for all.
Welcome to the BCEA family!
